Nursery Warranty Information – Madison Garden Center

We stand behind the quality of our plants and want you to grow with confidence! If a plant fails due to no fault of the purchaser, we’re happy to offer a nursery credit based on the original purchase price when you bring in the plant along with your original receipt. Please read the MGC planting guide carefully and ask staff to verify if plants are right for your chosen location.  

Current Growing Season Warranty

Valid through November 30 of the year of purchase

Our current growing season warranty will cover any of the following plants that fail to survive during their first season planted.

100% nursery credit for:

• Trees 
• Shrubs 
• Perennials (including vines, ground covers, and perennial grasses)

Excluded Plants: Boxwoods, tropical plants, and annuals.

First Winter Warranty

Valid through June 15 of the year following purchase

The first winter warranty will cover any tree or shrubs that fail to come back after their first winter planted.

50% nursery credit for:

• Trees 
• Shrubs 

Excluded Plants: Boxwoods, perennials, perennial grasses, ground covers, vines, tropical plants, and annuals.

Items Not Covered Under Any Warranty

• Boxwoods (due to ongoing box tree moth issues) 
• Houseplants, tropical plants, and annuals
• Items damaged due to wildlife (including deer, rabbits, and other animals)
• Plant loss due to improper planting or care (including over/under watering, we suggest purchasing a moisture meter to help with proper watering)
• Any items not purchased from Madison Garden Center 
• Plant loss due to freak acts of nature (tornado, winter storm damage, etc.)
• Replacement plants purchased with warranty credit are not eligible for any warranty

Important Details

• A valid receipt is required for all warranty claims 
• The original plant (or identifiable remains) must be presented 
• Warranty claims are issued as nursery credit only, no cash refunds
